JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for
effective scientific communication about the therapy area and products to HCPs
by planning and executing HCP interaction plan and KOL engagement activities,
along with active teamwork with internal stakeholders.
To achieve success it is critical that the Medical Manager:- Actively drive medical / clinical strategy for SANOFI products
- Develop and implement Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategies required to position the product and the company as a scientific leader in respective therapeutic area
- Manage advocacy groups and medical societies aligned with brand strategy
- Facilitate proactive medical information to external & internal customers
- Focus on training and development of commercial teams
- Strengthening collaboration with marketing team
- Lead implementation of the Brand Publication plan, including gap analysis
- Strengthen collaboration with clinical operations for conceptualization, planning and execution of local and regional clinical trial projects
- Manage budget within allocated resources of the cost centre
- Lead and develop medical science liaisons to ensure effective scientific communication to health care providers
KEY RESULTS / ACCOUNTABILITY
- Actively drive medical / clinical strategy for SANAOFI product
- Spearhead medical-commercial interface in developing local strategies for products
- Facilitating the development of symposia/meetings or education seminars for health care providers on subjects relevant to company products and delivering presentations at local meetings, symposia and external conferences
- Develop and implement Key Opinion Leader (KOL) strategies required to position the product and the company as a scientific leader in respective therapeutic area
- Develop and foster relationships with key external contacts (including investigators, KOLs, and physician associations)
- Establish and manage advisory boards
- Manage advocacy groups and medical societies aligned with brand strategy
- Facilitate proactive medical information to external & internal customers
- Focus on training and development of commercial teams
- Create medical and scientific presentations as well as training materials
- Train marketing and sales teams with specific reference to medical training and Adverse Event Reporting
- Strengthening collaboration with marketing team
- Contribute to development, review and approval of Promotional Material in collaboration with brand team
- Provide input and guidance on contents, and reviews and approving published educational and promotional materials
- Develop & manage cross functional projects with marketing & sales teams
- Deliver medical and scientific materials/programs, such as scientific symposia and advisory boards
- Oversight in approval and execution of new and ongoing patient support programs
- Lead implementation of the Brand Publication plan, including gap analysis
- Strengthen collaboration with clinical operations for conceptualization, planning and execution of local and regional clinical trial projects
- Develop local clinical trials protocols to support corporate and local business objectives
- Proactively providing medical support in light of local needs including identification of sites for clinical and observational trials
- Manage budget within allocated resources of the cost centre
- Lead and develop medical science liaisons to ensure effective scientific communication to health care providers

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Education Level – Medical Graduate mandatory; any additional medical qualification preferredExperience - Experience of having worked in a clinical setting; Experience of having worked in the industry;
Skills - Strong communication & interpersonal skills; Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office; Effective analytical skills; Analytical and computing skills with business acumen.
