About the Role
Reporting to the Plant Manager or Operations Manager the ODM leads the biggest organization of the plant while working closely with the key leaders in operations & supporting functions to ensure benchmark results of the production module. The success will be measured by the key results for the production lines reflected in the department scorecard.
The ODM leads the operation department in daily organization and decision making to ensure delivery of all key business results – utilizing the correct Daily Direction Systems to ensure excellent system execution and continuous loss elimination. The ODM is responsible to deliver the production, quality, cost, delivery, safety and Morale results for the production module. This will be achieved via strong system development and deployment and building facility of the entire team while rigorously executing the production systems with a high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure entire safety of all employees working in manufacturing department via following laid down company procedures and policies on HS&E and acting as a role model on safety for the department
- Ensure that all operations department staffing needs are always met and that the team members are trained and qualified on every manufacturing procedure, processes and equipment + all safety, quality and stewardship processes. No untrained team member should be allowed to operate machinery and equipment
- Lead a culture of following systems and standards via acting as a role model
- Lead the rewards and recognition system for the department to reward the right behaviors.
- Ensure high levels of morale of the organization via training, coaching and guiding department team members to attain optimum performance and ensure a healthy culture and environment of the department.
- Lead continuous improvement program for the operations module via leveraging the P&G IWS systems to ensure improvement in all areas of PQCDSM (Production, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and morale)
- Ensure that all incidents in any area (safety, quality, stewardship etc.) are properly root caused and actions implemented to ensure no repeats.
- Ensure that the product from the production lines follow quality guidelines and is per the target ppm levels
- Lead and motivate all subordinates to fulfill schedules, improve control costs and quality
- Adhere to production schedules to ensure that target inventories are met
- Ensure all Maintenance tasks (AM/PM) are executed as per the defined schedule
- Design, prepare all manufacturing methods to ensure high quality and efficiency
Required Skills and Qualification:
- Experienced professionals in one of the following engineering majors: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronics or any relevant engineering degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- In addition to good knowledge of English, we also look for skills such as technical curiosity, creativity, innovation, initiative, communication, leadership and the ability to work with others.
